Introducing HC-VCI: Bluetooth diagnostics, idle calibration and Ford unlock for diesel pumps

Herlic Components is adding diagnostics to its diesel-pump line-up. HC-VCI is a Bluetooth diagnostic interface for PSG5-equipped Bosch VP30 and VP44 pumps — read and clear faults, adjust the stored idle calibration, and unlock locked Ford control units, with no proprietary subscription.

What HC-VCI is

HC-VCI is a compact diagnostic interface that links an Android phone or tablet to a PSG5 pump over Bluetooth. It is built for the bench and the workshop: a single tool to talk to the electronics, check their state, and carry out the routine calibration and unlock steps a PSG5 job needs.

What it does

  • Bluetooth connection — a wireless link to the pump, no tethered interface cable.
  • Live diagnostics — read and clear fault codes on PSG5 electronics.
  • Idle calibration on every unit — reads and adjusts the stored idle calibration value, reversibly.
  • Ford control-unit unlock — unlock locked control units on all Ford PSG5 pumps.
  • No subscription, no lock-in — no proprietary app subscription to keep the tool working.

Why it matters in the workshop

Diagnostics on PSG5 pumps has often meant juggling separate tools, cables and licences. HC-VCI puts the common tasks — fault reading, idle calibration and the Ford unlock — behind one Bluetooth interface, so the steps that used to interrupt a job stay inside it. Because there is no subscription, the tool keeps doing its job for as long as you own it.

Works with your PSG5 line-up

HC-VCI is built around the same Bosch VP30 and VP44 PSG5 systems as our HC-PSG5 control unit. Use it to diagnose and calibrate pumps you are repairing, and to handle the Ford unlock step without a separate proprietary application.

Availability

HC-VCI is priced at €999. It joins the Herlic Components line-up alongside HC-PSG5 and HC-Bench — see all three at Automechanika Frankfurt 2026 (8–12 September).
