The HC-PSG5 control unit replaces the PSG5 electronics of the VP44-type injection pumps fitted to three widely used Nissan models: the Almera 2.2 Di, the Terrano II 3.0 Di and the Cabstar / Atleon 3.0. This note lists the versions covered, the Bosch and Zexel pump numbers, and the HC-PSG5 reference that corresponds to each.

Years are indicative. The reference is always determined by the number on the pump label, not by the vehicle model.
Pumps with a Zexel number
Many pumps on these models carry a Zexel number (109341-xxxx or 109342-xxxx) on the label instead of the Bosch number. Both identify the same pump, and either one is sufficient to determine the HC-PSG5 reference. Where the pump shows only the Zexel number or the Nissan part number (16700-xxxxx), the cross-reference is made from that.
Versions not covered
- Terrano II 2.7 TDi: mechanical injection pump, no PSG5 control unit.
- Cabstar 3.0 TD 106 PS and earlier versions: mechanical injection pump.
- Cabstar from 2006: common-rail injection, no VP44 pump.
Supply
The HC-PSG5 is new electronics, coded and calibrated for the pump number, and fits the original connector with no programming or additional software. It is supplied on exchange: the new unit ships first and the original unit is returned afterwards.
