The HC-PSG5 control unit is a brand-new, OEM-equivalent electronic driver module for Bosch VP30 and VP44 diesel injection pumps. It restores electronic control on pumps originally equipped with PSG5 electronics, offering a bench-compatible, workshop-friendly replacement for common European diesel applications.
The unit is intended for professional diesel workshops and test-bench environments, integrating smoothly into established VP30 and VP44 service workflows.

The initial release of the HC-PSG5 control unit covers selected VP30 and VP44 pumps commonly found in:

Final compatibility depends on pump variant and calibration. The application list is being expanded as validation progresses.
Bench and calibration workflow
EPS 815 test bench compatibility
The HC-PSG5 control unit is designed to work seamlessly with Bosch EPS 815 test benches, fitting naturally into existing VP30 and VP44 diagnostic and calibration procedures.

dFi adjustment
- dFi is adjusted in exactly the same way as on an original PSG5 unit

The unit does not include:
- Hydraulic or electronic valves
- Pump speed sensor
These components must be supplied separately or reused from the existing pump, depending on condition and workshop practice.
Test-bench compensation
- Answers the EPS 815 compensation procedure exactly as a genuine unit does
- Idle and injection-start-angle adjustment run over the standard K-Line protocol, as on a genuine unit
- Recoding uses the standard K-Line coding command, including the same limited number of recodings as the original
For official Bosch workshops that rely on full OE-style compensated calibration, the unit fits the bench procedure you already run. Recalibration or compensation by a third party on an EPS 815 does not affect the warranty — the unit is designed to be recalibrated that way, and doing so is normal service rather than manipulation.
